A FRIENDLY NOTE BEFORE YOU JOIN US
This trip is designed for adventurous spirits who are healthy, flexible, and excited to experience Japan with a small group of like-minded travelers.
Because the pace can be full, it may not be the best fit if you have strict dietary needs, mobility limitations, or prefer highly familiar surroundings.
-
You’ll have several free days to explore Tokyo and Kyoto on your own, so a love of independent discovery is a plus.
-
Daily walks are part of the journey — guests should be able to walk at a steady 3-mph pace for up to an hour, get up and down unassisted for floor seating, and be able to enjoy meals using chopsticks.
-
While we’ll do our best with food preferences, we can’t guarantee vegan, gluten-free, or MSG-free meals.
-
We ask guests to learn basic Japanese etiquette and greetings before arrival — it enriches the experience for everyone. Also it would be a benefit to become familiar with basic greetings, counting, and polite speech prior to arrival.
-
Above all, we value kindness, punctuality, and respect for one another as we share this adventure.
